About Us

At ALZIZ Agriculture, EARN is dedicated to replicating its successful agricultural model from South Africa across the African continent through collaborative efforts. Our mission is to establish commercial and training hubs that not only address youth unemployment but also contribute to Africa’s emergence as a leading food provider. By identifying land in diverse African regions, we aim to implement the proven EARN model, fostering sustainable agricultural practices and economic growth.

Accessing Sierra Leone

We are a coalition of stakeholders with access to arable land in Sierra Leone, poised to pioneer the first EARN commercial hub in West Africa. Despite 25 years of relative stability following a brutal civil war, Sierra Leone’s agricultural sector remains underdeveloped due to policy failures. However, with the current global food crisis and the government’s prioritization of agriculture, we see a timely opportunity to make a significant impact.

Our Objective

Establish a Central Commercial Hub: Our primary objective is to secure funding to establish a central commercial hub in Sierra Leone, which will serve as a model for future initiatives across the continent.
Land Development: We have identified 18 acres of land in Makorloh, Port Loko district, strategically located along the highway to Freetown. Collaborating with EARN, we aim to secure funds for hub construction, scheduled to commence by April 2024.
Training Agripreneurs: Partnering with institutions like Njala University and the Sierra Leone Agricultural Research Institute (SLARI), we plan to train agricultural graduates. By leveraging existing knowledge, we aim to reduce the training period from 12 to 6 months, nurturing a cohort of pioneer agripreneurs ready to lead the agricultural revolution.

Ready Market

With over 80% of commodities imported, Sierra Leone presents a robust market for locally produced crops and livestock. Our commercial hub aims to supply staple crops and livestock products to meet local demand. Additionally, we will explore opportunities for export to neighboring countries and international markets, enhancing food security and economic stability.

Our Goals

Land Expansion

Identify additional land for future satellite farms to support the commercial hub and extend operations to Liberia, Gambia, and Guinea Conakry.

Training Excellence

Become the primary training ground for agripreneurs in Sierra Leone and the region, equipping them with the skills needed to thrive in the agricultural sector.

Commercial Growth

Establish a supermarket chain as the main buyer for produce and explore export avenues to maximize market reach.

Crop Diversity

Diversify crop production to include tubers, grains, and tap into the natural commodities market, including palm oil and European "superfoods."
